Ok, this morning I've been looking at flights to hawaii for those of us that are still in Europe. The average price in June will be $850. That's flying from London or Frankfurt. That's with the American carriers. The other carriers such as British Airways are £900 so basically double it with the exchange rate the way it is these days. Can somebody tell me which is the main airport in Hawaii please. I can search for better deals tomorrow when I'm on a day off. How many of us are in Europe still anyway? It might be an idea to travel together make the journey a little bit more interesting. Flights throughout Europe are cheap as you like so meeting in a big city would be no problem and not much more money. JJ

There is a state park in Destin, Florida that has cabins right on the beach. They are really reasonable and have two bedrooms in each cabin. It's a thought! Just a thought! The reunion is all good and we all want to do it. We need to think about how many of us have kids now, some of us aren't around family to be able to have them watch the kids for however long we do this, or know of anyone that we could really trust. Traveling to Hawaii would be great, but what about those of us who can't afford it, etc. Something within the 48 states would be a lot easier for most of us. Wherever we decide to have it we could pick some other people up on the way and do a carpool thing. Well, that's my take, talk to you later.

hallo rosalind, how are u, seems like u feel off the end of the earth, havent heard from u in do long. i was talking to janinne and we had an idea that everyone from the class of 98 make a list of everyone they know and their email addresses/telephone numbers or who they stay in contact with and make someone in charge of contacting them and fill them in about this reunion, i dont think that to many people check this site, and it would be a shame if some missed out. if we are going to have a reunion all that want to attend should get contacted in some way of form. just an idea. what do u guys think????

Hello everyone. Saw all the 98'ers posting and wanted to be like the cool kids. I dig the idea of an early reunion and wanted to throw out the possibility of a "hedonism II" location. Be a damn quick way of getting to know everyone again- or we could go to Florida, I guess that would be way more kid friendly. I haven't kept in touch with many but would like to get some emails, especially from Becky von Duering. I'm going to be married 1 year this coming Sunday and will be graduating from medical school in June. I am planning to go into Emergency Medicine and will be going into the Air Force, hopefully in San Antonio. So beware- you may see a familiar face in the hospital if you're down in Texas. I will be in San Antonio the 29-30 of September if anyone in the area wants to get together one of the nights. Just send me an email.
I just booked my flights to Houston. I'll be there from the 19th of November until the 26th. So anybody who's gonna be in the area or a few hours away let me know and we'll have to try and meet up. Hey there! I wanted to update on a few classmates that live in LA. Tamara and Chris Ingram live in Baton Rouge, and housed Rob Theriot and his family when the Hurricane hit...they are all doing well, The Theriots do not know the extent of the damage to their New Orleans home yet, however. Geneva Marney, I believe, ended up going to Florida to ride out the storm, and they too do not know the extent of damage to their New Orleans' home. Continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. All came out OK as far as escaping the storm, but as I stated earlier, the extent of damage to property, as well as financial has yet to be determined. The class of 95 just celebrated our 10 class reunion in New Orleans in June, it's hard to imagine the City we reunited in, now in ruins. I am sure there may be others affected by this disaster. These are the only details regarding classmates I know. I hope this finds everyone well. Take Care!

Well, I posted the last message without reading the board. There are a lot of people I remember from back in the day. I can't believe is has been more than 7 YEARS since we graduated!<p> Anyway, since I graduated, I have done many things. I moved to CA to go to college at CSU Monterey Bay. I graduated in 2002 with a degree in Computer Science. Got a job. <p> During my time at college I signed up for the National Guard. So in Feb 2003 I got activated and went to Iraq untill June 2004. That sucked.<p> I have been back for more than a year now, and in August of 2005 I got married to my girlfriend of 4 years.<p> So we bought a house in Monterey CA, we're both working full-time, got a dog, too many hobbies, and a big freaking mortgage. Yeah, I did fall off the face of the earth ( lol ). I love the idea of an early reunion. I did not graduate there, but I would love to go. Florida sounds great! I actually live in Central Florida, between Daytona Beach and Orlando. There are so many things here that everybody can enjoy. Universal Orlando house Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure Theme Park, Hard Rock, and City Walk. It is more for the older crowd, but also kid friendly. Church Street has nice clubs like Tabu, Roxy’s, Club Paris, Sky60, etc. and The Orlando Improv. Pointe Orlando has dining, entertainment, shopping, Wonderworks, etc. Of course, there is Disney. All of these places host group events and most of hotels have on-site supervised children activity centers for those with kids. I would be more than happy to help out, just email or post and let me know. I can do research on hotels, find out group rates, and discounted tickets/packages.
Have you guys heard of the "Skype" programme? It's an internet telephony service. They have a free service and also a pay service. The pay service is so you can ring normal home and mobile phones. The free service is so you can ring another computer when both online. It works very similar to MSN Messenger and Yahoo but the voice clarity is superb with very little lag. Okay guys, I've been checking on things and with the hurricane that hit the gulf cost places are getting booked very quickly, hotels and convention centers in the area hit by the hurricane are being moved to many of the other tourist spots in Florida and of course Las Vegas. If we are serious about getting together next year then we will have to jump on things. It might be easier to do it the beginning of 2007 so we have time to get in touch with everyone we need to and can make arrangements for hotel stays. For anyone in the lower/upper 48 I might be able to swing a group rate for air flight through Southwest Airlines. Also depending on where we decide to do this I have connections in the hotel industry so we might be able to get a sweet deal there too. I just want to say thanks to all of you that have been flooding me with emails, prayers, concerns, and wanting to show hospitality through love gifts since "Hurricane Katrina" hit Mississippi. Since I live here and my family lives on the Gulf Coast in Ocean Springs I thought it would be wise to post and let you have some information and update. I was sitting in the living room without power at my uncles and my nephew said, Uncle Roy, is my mommy mad. What do you mean Carson? Well everyone keeps talking about her. His moms name is Katrina, and boy how words affect people, epsecially children. I just teared up, at the thought of a childs heart. I spent a week down on the Gulf Coast helping my mom, brothers,sisters, uncle and aunt clean up from such devastation. Looking at it from the media's point of view does not do justice, until you are there physically. The ruin, in peoples lives and the things they lost only caused me to be silent and help bare their pain the best I could. There were opportunities to share with them of a love greater beyond themsleves, but it was hard for them to understand. We all come across our own little personal tradgedies every day, or what we think are tradgedies only to find out they are setbacks in life and not tradgedies at all compared to something that hit our shores like "Hurricane Katrina". T
Yeap, just had one of those setbacks just the moment I was posting you guys. On continuing from the last post this event "Hurricane Katrina" is going to take years to rebuild. I got to see the OS/Biloxi bridge which was devastated and will take years to build, Casinos that were once on the South side of Hwy 90 are blown and tossed to the North side of Hwy 90 from all the water that hit the Gulf Coast. Houses leveled at such magnitude which will take time to rebuild. The gas supply, power, and needs are just now pouring in after a week or more. We are a Nation of hope, so in time, we will come through this event, hopefully with an awareness of love for each other that we have not experienced in the South for more than 30 years. After 911 people came together and rose to the call of there brothers and sisters in need. Once again there is this test of love by helping out any way you can help. I felt the need to pop in to see what everyone is up to. My prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurrican Katrina. I couldn't begin to imagine the pain and admire the strength. I also have to point out that I am very jealous of all the reunion talk that has been going around lately. It seems as though the class of 1994 has fallen off the face of the earth. Where is everyone???? I would love to hear how everyone is doing and what they have been up to. As for me, I currently live in Dover, Delaware. I recently (May) bought my first house. I didn't realize how much work it would be and I bought a brand new one!! My daughter is 7 and just started the second grade. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Our family is growing by leaps and bounds. Shawn & Meredith are most definitely making their contribution. HA! We can't wait for the twins to arrive. My siblings have started popping out babies left and right. After the twins are born, I will have FOUR nieces!!! Anyone that remembers me, email me and let me know how you are! I so miss the good old days and would love to take a walk down memory lane!
Hey just wanted to say what's up. I talked to Victor today, we were talking about places we could go to for the reunion. Mexico(the nice part), Vegas, Canada, or somewhere up near the NY area, Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, South Padre Island, a cruise or something like that. Dunno what everyone is thinkin of, but there are a few more. Also we should try to figure out where in the US most of everyone is, and try to make it some where in the middle or just say screw it if everyone is up to it and go on a cruise. We need to do it somewhere there is some activities going on, entertainment, drinking, etc. Victor said Mexico might not be a good idea, cuz we might lose some people(someone may not get back on the bus) if that's the case then we all have a buddy that we watch out for. But anyway, there's some other ideas. Also, we need to figure out if it's just going to be us, or us and family, or what. It would be kinda fun to do this thing kidless. All you parents I'm sure you're feelin me on this one. C'mon when's the last time you got to do something without your kids and have a good time? I sure do need it, and I only have one kid 3yrs old, and a hand full. Anyway, there's that. So, I'll talk to you all later.

I think a Cruise is a great idea thay have group packages for reunions a stuff so i'm sure we could find something affordable for everyone.... and about the family think i think we should leave it open to those with familys... not everyone has someone who can wait there kids for a long period of time.... so i think the families should decide.... but its whatever..
I was at Ktown from 92-94 and moved to Oklahoma where I finished high school. I used to be in contact with those I used to share laughs with... and others too. I now live in South Dakota where I am a fire fighter for the South Dakota National Guard. I start this next year as a firefighter for Rapid City Fire Department. Yeah I understand that some may not have others to watch their kids. It was just an idea. It would only be for a couple of days to a week. I would like to go without my kid, but in the same token, it would be nice to have him around. I know I'm gonna want to do a lot of things and not have to worry about running all over the place after him. I agree it should and am pretty sure will be a decision for those of us who have families. I still have to talk to my hubby about all this too. He's in Iraq still, so I'll wait till he comes home to talk about this. He's a jealous person sometimes so I'm pretty sure he's gonna want to go. Well, I am still here but just barely. My house made it with some damage. But I will try my best to fix it. My grandma and her sisters lost everything so I am not complaining. My ceiling collapsed not my roof. So I have been busy cleaning up. I have spent all of my time in bay st. louis as well. Just trying to save stuff. There is just so much. But I have friends and family here to help those in need. Ofcourse I am unemployeed and so is my wife. We will make do and survive like always. Words can't describe what I have seen and been through. Well I've gone and done it. I am now a married woman! We had a beautiful ceremony and reception. Everything went as planned and the rain even held off. It started raining about 5 minutes after the reception ended and we were making our way to the get away car. It was every thing I hoped it would be and more. My husband surprised me with the honeymoon and took me to Cancun. We stayed at Moon Palace (an all inclusive secluded resort) and had a blast. Toured a little, drank a lot, relaxed in the pool or beach, met some great people down there honeymooning as well. We had already started planning a trip back to Cancun before we even left. I just wanted everyone to know that Damion and I are still together and we're doin' great!!!(We're FINALLY getting married after almost 6 years (Since April 2000)) We live in Colorado Springs for the moment, livin' it up without too many things to worry about(See below). Like I said we're doin' great! I also want all of you to know that remember him that he is in New Oreleans right now doin' "clean up" jobs with his company and I couldn't be more proud!!! On the other hand I need him to come home safe and healthy!!! All I can ask is for you all to pray for him!!!(Along with everyone that was/is involved with Katrina's Disaster) I hope all is well with everyone and I hope someone see's this, remembers me(or us) and EMAILS ME!!!!! =P That would be GREAT!!! I can sympathize with you Mark. I have 5 yr old boy, 16 yr old daughter and a 14 yr old daughter. Throw the fact that my husband is on the tail end of a one year tour in Iraq and you have someone ready for a 3wk cruise.
Debbie, two teenage daughters - I would have to double my gun collection! I spent 20 years in the AF and retired a little over a year ago. I salute your husband and all of our service members fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. God bless them all. By the way, I'm still working full time as a civilian now. I work side by side with the military and I'm proud to do it.

Mark, I agree with the person who said we are trying to keep up with our kids. We have a 21 year old who is in the Air Force serving in Iceland,( he still does not sleep thru the night!) an eight year old and a seven year old who is on his second broken bone in less than a year. I browse thru about twice a month to check on anyone from our classes. With everything going on in real life it is hard to take a minute to catch up with old friends. Keep hounding us, we need to stay in touch. Anyone know where Connie Clifford is living? Have a great night and may there soon be peace.

Hey everyone, Got some great news. A short film that I made this summer with my production company buddies, Brian and Steve, is going to be playing in 13 different cities across the states at Landmark Theaters. It's a benefit screening and all ticket sales will go to the Red Cross to support the victims of Katrina. Eleven films were selected out of hundreds, and our film was the only film from NYC to be selected. Kick ass! Many of you are in or nearby the selected cities, so if you are free, you should check it out if you never saw our film, and to support the benefit. The screening is schedule for Wednesday and Thursday, September 29th at 7:30pm (I'm assuming all the cities are playing the films the same time in their respected time zones). Here is the list of scheduled cities: Atlanta Austin Boston Chicago Denver Los Angeles Minneapolis New York San Diego San Francisco Seattle St. Louis Washington DC The Producers of this project are trying to secure additional screenings in these cities: Baltimore Portland Little Rock Santa Fe. So yeah, if you have nothing to do that Wednesday or Thursday night, go out and check out the films. Well, now that it's Texas' turn.... Kim and her family live along the coast and her parents just bought a house in Corpus Cristi. They were told that evacuation was mandatory today, they haven't left yet, probably tomorrow, her husband still has to go to work even thought everything is closed down. That sux. So far this huricaine is a cat.5 and doesn't look like it's going to go down anytime soon or at all for that matter, keep all of those in mind and in prayers that will be affected by this storm. I'm along the coast, but further down, so far it doesn't look like it's comming down here. Well, enough of that, I talked to my hubby the other day and the doctors over there are looking at his eyes a lot, and saying it is a possibility that he may have glacoma(if that's how you spell it) he went in and the doc. looked at his eyes for 3 hours, then told him to come back the next day for tests, she dilated his eyes and checked them every hour to measure the pressure on his eyes, so now she's giving him some eyedrops to relieve the pressure/pain or what ever is going on. He may or may not have to come home depending on the severity of the problem. It sux about his eyes, I'd like him to come home early, but not at the cost of his sight.
